Seoul National University is a national university whose main campus is the Gwanak campus in Gwanak-gu, southern Seoul. It also operates the Yeongeon medical campus in Jongno-gu, Seoul, and campuses in Pyeongchang and Siheung.
It is a comprehensive university with colleges and professional graduate schools spanning engineering, natural sciences, humanities, social sciences, medicine and the arts. Programme availability in English differs by college and degree level, so confirm the language of instruction for your specific programme.
Tuition amounts, scholarship values, dormitory fees and deadlines are revised every admission cycle. ASK KOREA therefore links to the official SNU pages rather than reproducing figures that can go out of date.
Where a contact detail could not be confirmed on an official SNU page, this guide shows “Check Official University Site” instead of an unverified value.
SNU runs a separate international undergraduate admissions track with its own guidelines, document list and schedule, published per intake on the official admissions pages.
Graduate international admissions are handled per intake, with requirements set by the graduate school and department you apply to.
A dedicated international admissions email address and telephone number could not be confirmed on an official SNU page at the time of writing.

SNU’s Korean language teaching is delivered by the Language Education Institute, whose Korean Language & Culture Program (KLCP) provides intensive Korean courses for international students and other learners.
Course levels, terms, fees and application windows are published by the institute per term. Language-course applicants normally study on a D-4 visa; confirm current documentation requirements with the institute and Korea Immigration.
A direct email address and telephone number for the Korean language programme could not be confirmed on an official SNU page at the time of writing.

The Gwanak campus is a large hillside site beside Gwanaksan with more than 200 buildings, so postal mail should include the building number. Seoul Metro Line 2 serves the area, and city and campus shuttle buses run into the campus.
On-campus housing is run by the SNU dormitory (Gwanaksa), with applications opening per semester and capacity limits. Nearby student districts include Nakseongdae, Seoul National University Station and Sillim.
SNU’s international office is the Office of Global Affairs (OGA), which supports international students, visiting scholars and exchange participants. Its International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) unit covers visa and immigration guidance, and the SNU I-Office assists international students and faculty with on- and off-campus matters.
